I have always loved fixing things. One of my earlier memories was in Kindergarten, the teacher asked us to bring in an old broken clock and we would fix them. I was so excited and asked my dad if he had any old broken clocks and he gave me a nice desk clock. I told him we were going to learn how to fix it. I still remember the look on his face, like 'ya sure'. When I brought the clock to the teacher she immediately cut the cord and I was deflated. I knew were were not going to be fixing it. I remember a table filled with clock gears and windings. I was so mad, I didn't even sit down to examine them. Telling my Dad we didn't fix the clock was not easy, but it taught me a valuable lesson. And it gave me a desire to know how things work and how to repair them.
